During his recent visit to China, Hasan attended the Chinese national flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. While standing in front of Mao Zedong’s large portrait, he held a small Chinese flag and said, “I don’t have any kind of patriotism in my heart for America.”The moment came right after the ceremony ended and was captured during a livestream that Hasan was filming in Beijing. The video quickly spread online and drew mixed reactions from viewers. Many were surprised to see him say this in such a symbolic place, while others called it another example of his outspoken political views. The clip was first shared by Drew Pavlou on X and soon went viral across social media.

This made the officers suspicious, and the stream was paused for about ten minutes while they checked the phones. Once the inspection was done, Hasan and his crew were allowed to continue filming. After the incident, Hasan continued exploring the area and even went into a nearby shop that sold souvenirs of Mao and the Communist Party. Viewers who were watching the livestream reacted strongly online, debating whether Hasan’s comments showed real political belief or just another attempt to spark attention.Hasan has long been known for his critical views about America. His latest comments in China added to that image, showing how far he is willing to go to express his opinions.
