‘I am gonna punch you’: Trump’s inner circle imploding even after Elon Musk’s exit, private dinner turns into chaos

'I am gonna punch you': Trump's inner circle imploding even after Elon Musk's exit, private dinner turns into chaos

Scott Bessent reportedly picked a fight with Bill Pulte at a private dinner and accused him of badmouthing him to Trump.

Donald Trump’s treasury secretary Scott Bessent lost it as he got to know that Bill Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, was allegedly badmouthing him to Trump. Bessent did not wait for a more opportune moment to get at a much younger Pulte, and as all the Trump officials went for a dinner at the Executive Branch, the posh club that Donald Trump Jr opened in DC. Politico reported that Bessent did not pretend that nothing was wrong. “Why the f**k are you talking to the president about me? F**k you,” Bessent told Pulte. “I’m gonna punch you in your f**king face.”Pulte was stunned but the situation was fast escalating. Others had to intervene when Bessent suggested Pulte should be kicked out of the club. “It’s either me or him,” Bessent said to Omeed Malik, one of the co-owners of the club. “You tell me who’s getting the f**k out of here.” Bessent also suggested a third option. “Or, we could go outside,” he said meaning he and Pulte would have their fight outside the club. “To do what?” asked Pulte. “To talk?”“No,” Bessent replied. “I’m going to f**king beat your a**.”Malik reportedly disengaged them and took Bessent to a different part of the club, far from Pulte. There was no more episode during the dinner, the report confirmed.

But who is Bill Pulte?

Politico described Pulte as a “brash 37-year-old with 3 million X followers” who has a low-profile job but comes from a very influential family. Pulte and Bessent clashed over the mortgage giants. He is close to commerce secretary Howard Lutnick, who has a rocky relationship with Bessent and both of them competed for the treasury position.

Bessent’s earlier fight was with Elon Musk

63-year-old Scott Bessent is emerging as a fight master as his earlier reported fallout was with Elon Musk in the White House when Elon was a part of the administration. Reports claimed they shouted at each other, and it was quite a scene. Some reports claimed Elon Musk hit Bessent’s ribcage like a rugby player, and Bessent too hit Musk.
