The 22-year-old Taiwan-born content creator went from being a random face in a viral stream to a global name in just two years. His story began in Japan in 2023, when he accidentally met popular streamer Kai Cenat outside a 7-Eleven. That single moment changed his life forever. Before coming to Japan for a short visit in 2023, Ray Lee, real name Chen-Ruei Hsu, grew up in Taiwan. His life went suddenly in a different direction there. He saw Kai Cenat streaming live and decided to approach him at a 7-Eleven in Tokyo. Their amusing and impulsive talk went viral within hours. Ray’s genuine demeanor delighted fans, and he quickly started showing up in Kai’s streams and social media videos. Ray formally started his TikTok account in July 2023, where his relatable comedy and odd antics quickly earned him a follower favorite. He acquired over 4.4 million followers in a few months.
