'Hardcore MAGA lunatics': New details about Michigan church shooter Thomas Sanford trigger political row

Michigan church shooter Thomas Sanford was a die-hard MAGA fan.

Social media history, old photos have now confirmed that Michigan church shooter Thomas Sanford was not only a supporter of President Donald Trump but a die-hard MGA fan who wore a t-shirt with a caption like: ‘Make liberals cry again.’ His house even has a ‘Trump-Pence’ sign, internet sleuths dug up from Google Maps. Sanford rammed his car into the church and then opened fire before setting the building on fire using gasoline. He was killed by the law enforcement in the parking lot. Sanford served in the Marines from 2004 to 2008 as an organizational automotive mechanic and vehicle recovery operator, He deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He earned several awards during his four years of service, including the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.A GoFundMe page from 2015 raised more than $3,000 for Sanford and his wife’s now-10-year-old son, who was reportedly born with congenital hyperinsulinism (CHI), a rare genetic condition in which the pancreas releases too much insulin. “This appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians in the United States of America,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “THIS EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE IN OUR COUNTRY MUST END, IMMEDIATELY!” he added.White House spokesperson said Sanford hated the people of the Mormon faith. “From what I understand based on my conversations with the FBI director, all they know right now is this was an individual who hated people of the Mormon faith,” Leavitt told Fox News. The recent mass violence followed a pattern of MAGA accusing the assassin of being a left liberal immediately after the identification came out. But after the Michigan church shooting, it was for the Left to attack. “The LDS church shooter, Thomas Jacob Sanford, and his entire family aren’t just Trump supporters — they’re hardcore MAGA conspiracy lunatics,” one wrote. “Trump and Republicans were quick to blame the shooting on the “Radical Left”. Trump and Republicans haven’t said a word, Since they found out Thomas Sanford was one of their own,” another wrote.
