Officials on Wednesday identified the teenage girl whose body was discovered in the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to singer David Anthony Burke, known professionally as d4vd. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner confirmed the victim as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose name and birth date match a girl reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California, in March 2024. The cause of death remains “deferred” pending further investigation.Rivas’ body was found on September 8 at a Hollywood tow yard, where the Tesla had been stored for two days after being abandoned on a public street. Authorities were called to the lot after workers noticed a foul smell coming from the vehicle. The remains were in an advanced state of decomposition. Investigators are working to determine whether the deceased is the same girl listed in the missing-person case and how her body ended up inside the car.The Tesla is registered to 20-year-old d4vd, who rose to prominence on TikTok and now has more than 33 million monthly Spotify listeners. He released his debut album in April and is currently on tour, with a Los Angeles performance scheduled for Saturday.
