A supercar driver who thrilled social media with dangerous stunts across Dubai has faced swift action from authorities. The vehicle was seized, and the driver fined AED10,000 after video showing high-speed maneuvers, loud modifications, and public disturbance went viral. Dubai Police tracked down and impounded a supercar following viral videos showing the driver performing reckless stunts at various locations across the city. Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Acting Director of the General Department of Traffic, confirmed that the driver has been referred to higher authorities for legal action. The violations included excessive speeding, illegal modifications that caused loud exhaust sounds and flames, disturbing residents, and putting both his own life and that of other road users at risk. Brigadier bin Suwaidan stressed that roads are not a stage for stunts or risky experiments. He warned that illegal vehicle modifications and reckless driving can result in severe accidents, distract other drivers, and cause loss of control. “Such behaviours are not only a nuisance but are extremely dangerous,” he said, urging all motorists to follow traffic laws to maintain public safety and order. The Dubai Police used advanced technology to monitor traffic offenders, both online and on the road. The viral video helped authorities identify the vehicle and apprehend the driver. Once the car was seized, a release fine of AED10,000 was imposed. The driver’s actions also caused noise and disturbance to other road users, further justifying the legal measures taken.Authorities reiterated that the road is not a place for showing off or dangerous experiments. Dubai Police urged residents to report traffic violations promptly through official channels, highlighting their commitment to public safety and the use of state of the art monitoring tools to curb reckless driving. The incident underscores the strict enforcement of traffic laws and the potential consequences of ignoring them.
