Indian-origin podcaster and MAGA commentator Dinesh D’Souza came under fire after he posted an AI-generated video of a black person flaunting jewelry and cash while demanding taxes. Internet pointed out that Dinesh was trying to mock the recent Minnesota daycare scam and targeting Somalis. The parody clip was titled “Diversity is our greatest strength.”However, social media piled up on Dinesh and recalled how he only speaks against anti-India racism. D’Souza has defended GOP leader and Indian-origin Vivek Ramaswamy after his family received racist and xenophobic remarks recently. Left-wing podcaster Hasanabi commented: “This guy was crying about anti indian racism in the republican party last week lmao”Another media commentator, Adam wrote: “Don’t ever cry about anti-Indian racism again”People also pointed out how Dinesh is closer to the person in the video than an actual white person. “In the mind of your audience, you look infinitely closer to this than to a white person,” one user wrote.Another wrote: “Would it be ok if Indian heritage folks such as yourself faced this kind of physically attributed racism?”Moreover, as a conservative author, Dinesh D’Souza was pardoned by President Donald Trump on May 31, 2018. He had pleaded guilty in 2014 to a federal felony for making illegal campaign contributions using straw donors to support a Republican Senate candidate and violating federal election laws. Last year, D’Souza said he was shocked to discover anti-India racism within MAGA circles. He said, “In a career spanning forty years, I have never encountered this type of rhetoric. The Right never used to talk like this. So who on our side has legitimised this type of vile degradation?” This reaction came after online abuse targeted at his Indian heritage. In October, D’Souza replied to a White House renovation post on X, a MAGA supporter attacked him with racial slurs and called Indians a “disgusting race of slaves.”
