'Charlie loved you': Erika Kirk gives blessings to Sergio Gor at his swearing-in as US ambassador to India

Erika Kirk, widow of conservative leader and Trump ally Charlie Kirk, addressed a packed Oval Office on Monday during the swearing-in Sergio Gor as the United States’ new ambassador to India.”Charlie loved you,” Erika Kirk told Gor, recalling her late husband’s friendship with him, according to Fox News. “He would have been the first phone call when he found out if you were going to be taking this position.” Gor was appointed as the US ambassador to India in October. He was sworn in by US vice president JD Vance. Following the ceremony, Gor praised US President Donald Trump, saying, “This is an honor of a lifetime. What you have achieved in 10 months has been historic, has surpassed any other presidency.” He added, “I fully believe what you will achieve in the next three years will never be beaten.”Erika Kirk spoke about witnessing Gor and her late husband work together over the years. “The way that I was able to witness the two of you work together for years and to champion and support the president was absolutely humbling to witness, and I am so proud of you and Charlie is going to be with you every single day in spirit,” she said. “I will be praying for you every day because I know that this is just the beginning of an incredible opportunity for you.”Gor is also the co-founder of Winning Team Publishing alongside POTUS’s son Donald Trump Jr. The company has published several of Trump’s best-selling books as well as books authored by Charlie Kirk.Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. The MAGA commentator was shot in the neck by a sniper 200 yards away. The shooter was found after days of an intense manhunt.
