It all began with a post on X, where Rubin claimed Owens once spoke badly about her longtime friend Charlie Kirk. Owens has strongly denied the claim, calling it false and “sheer fiction.” Candace Owens and Dave Rubin, two well-known conservative voices, are openly fighting online, and the words are getting sharper by the hour. On January 20, Rubin posted on X after sharing clips comparing Owens’ and Charlie Kirk’s views on Israel. In that post, Rubin said that when Owens visited his home in 2022, she spent nearly an hour talking about “how much she hated Charlie.”Candace Owens reacted within hours. She rejected the claim fully and said the story was made up. She said she and Charlie Kirk have been friends and that Rubin knew this very well. The fight did not stop there. Candace Owens then explained why she says she cut ties with Rubin and shared serious claims about private talks they once had. Rubin, meanwhile, has continued to criticize Owens in later posts, keeping the dispute very much alive.

Dave Rubin said he remembered the 2022 meeting “vividly.” He also claimed that during the same visit, Owens spoke badly about Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, whom they had recently met for dinner. Rubin made these remarks publicly on X.Owens responded directly and firmly. In her post, she wrote, “This is completely and utterly made up LOL. Sheer fiction. You guys are so positively desperate to rewrite Charlie’s history that we are moving to fantasy.”Owens then shared her side of why their friendship ended. She said Rubin once spoke to her about hiring a young Christian man who had worked at her show at PragerU. According to Owens, Rubin said the man’s parents were worried about him working for a gay couple. Owens claimed Rubin later told her that the young man was “more likely secretly gay” and that he encouraged him to experiment.Owens said this story made her uncomfortable. She stated that Rubin encouraged the young man to go on a date and have his first kiss with another man. She added that the young man later quit Rubin’s show and moved away. Owens said she was deeply upset because she knew the young man personally.Later on Tuesday, Owens repeated these claims on her podcast. She also said Rubin once told her he had used drugs with Peter Thiel and had asked Thiel for a $5 million loan. Owens claimed that when interest was discussed, Rubin spoke badly about Thiel.Candace Owens also said Rubin was lying about her relationship with Charlie Kirk because of her stance on Israel. She said Kirk’s views changed over time due to donor pressure. Rubin has denied Owens’ version of events and has continued posting against her, including criticism involving Erika Kirk.
