‘Cameras analyzing my every move but…’ Erika Kirk speaks up amid row over viral hug with JD Vance

'Cameras analyzing my every move but...' Erika Kirk speaks up amid row over viral hug with JD Vance

Erika Kirk spoke about cameras analyzing her every move amid row over her viral hug with JD Vance.

Erika Kirk broke her silence amid several controversies surrounding her after her emotional hug with Vice President JD Vance at the recent Turning Point USA event went viral. At the event, Eika also said that there were many similarities between her late husband and JD Vance. In an interview with Fox News, which is yet to be aired, Erika spoke how her every movement, every smile has been captured by the camera but there will be restrictions on the media coverage of the court proceedings of Tyler Robinson, the accused in Charlie Kirk’s murder.“There were cameras all over my husband when he was murdered,” Kirk told Fox News’ Jesse Watters in a clip posted on X.

“There have been cameras all over my friends and family, mourning. There have been cameras all over me. Analyzing my every move, analyzing my every smile, my every tear. We deserve to have cameras in there.”“Why not be transparent?” Kirk. “There’s nothing to hide. I know there’s not, because I’ve seen what the case is built on. Let everyone see what true evil is. This is something that could impact a generation and generations to come.” Erika Kirk broke down during the interview as she was shown a video of Charlie. “Sorry guys, just give me a second,” she said tearfully. “This is the longest video I’ve watched of him. Just give me a second.” Watters said Charlie Kirk was on a mission to save Western civilization, asking Erika Kirk whether she signed up for that. “I didn’t sign up for anything. I just married the love of my life,” Erika replied. Erika Kirk received a huge backlash for what commentators said was a lack of mourning period for her husband, as she jumped straight into work as she took up the new role as the CEO of TPUSA. Her hug to JD Vance went viral and so did her words as she said there were similarities between Charlie and JD. “No one will ever replace Charlie, but I do see some similarities of my husband in JD, Vice President JD Vance,” Erika said, introducing JD as the speaker of the Mississippi event. In Charlie Kirk’s memorial on September 21, Erika said she forgave Tyler Robinson. “He (Charlie) wanted to save young men just like the one who took his life,” Erika said. “That man, that young man, I forgive him,’ Erika Kirk said while breaking into tears.”
