The mayor said an individual initially believed to be connected to the incident was held briefly before being cleared of any involvement.The attack took place inside the seven-storey Barus & Holley building, which houses Brown University’s School of Engineering and physics department and contains more than 100 laboratories along with numerous classrooms and offices, according to the university website. Engineering design exams were in progress at the time of the shooting.
