After White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt’s close-up photo in Vanity Fair created a ripple triggering speculations of cosmetic surgeries, it is now Marco Rubio’s turn for internet memes as in the viral photo he’s seen looking down as he is standing in one corner. “After being yelled at by Donald Trump a pensive Marco Rubio quietly cries in the corner, away from public view,” one wrote.”Who put Marco Rubio in the naughty corner?” another wrote. The photo has been taken by Christopher Anderson. In the Vanity Fair interview, Rubio ruled out running for president in 2028 if Vice President JD Vance seeks GOP nomination. “If JD Vance runs for president, he’s going to be our nominee, and I’ll be one of the first people to support him,” Rubio told author Chris Whipple. The Vanity Fair interview emerged as a major controversy as Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles said the published interview was manipulated. Wiles was quoted as comparing Donald Trump’s mentality to that of an alcoholic’s who thinks he can do everything. Wiles also called JD Vance an opportunist as she apparently said that Vance turned from Trump-critic to Trump loyalist because of political reasons. The entire administration stood behind Susie Wiles as she rejected the interview, while the interviewer claimed that they had all the recordings. “It is obvious to most people that Vanity Fair deliberately manipulated pictures and reported statements without context to try and make the WH team look bad,” Marco Rubio commented amid the Vanity Fair row. “And there is nobody more loyal or committed to President Trump’s mission than Susie Wiles. She is one of the main reasons why we have a team that works together to carry out the President’s promises to the American people,” Rubio said.
