‘You need to kill me to stop me’: Kejriwal’s all-out attack against PM Modi, Amit Shah after clearance in liquor policy case

'I Am Not Corrupt': Arvind Kejriwal Breaks Down As Court Frees Him, Sisodia In Excise Policy Case

NEW DELHI: AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal launched blistering attacks at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah in a press conference after he received a clean chit in the Delhi excise case. Accusing PM Modi and Shah of hatching a conspiracy against him, Kejriwal claimed that “the two still could not hold him down.”Addressing the press conference, Kejriwal said, “You (PM Modi) filed so many cases against us. You unleashed the ED, the CBI, the police, and the Income Tax Department against us. You sent five of our top leaders to jail.”

He further added, “The only way to stop Kejriwal was to have him killed, that eliminating him was the only option left, because nothing else could break him. You tried everything.” Further adding to his claim, he said, “There is another way, I have said this before, but that is not something Modi ji can do. I built 500 schools in Delhi; you build 5,000 schools across the country. I improved the roads in Delhi; you fix the roads across the entire nation. Then no one would even ask about Kejriwal anymore. But that is not something Modi ji can do.” He went on to describe the trial as baseless, stating there was a lack of evidence against him that led to what he remarked as a “historic court order.”He said, “For the past four years, the ED, the CBI and all central agencies were used to level what was called a liquor scam against us. The CBI and the ED filed charge sheets in the case. Today, the court had to decide prima facie whether there was sufficient material, based on evidence and witness statements, to even run a trial. The trial had not begun yet. The court only had to decide whether there was enough material to proceed with a trial. In its nearly 600-page order, after considering all the evidence and all witness statements, the court said there is not even an iota of evidence, not even credible witness statements, to justify even conducting a trial. There is not a single piece of evidence based on which a trial can be run.” He further added, “You should read the order. It is a historic order. The court has clearly stated that there is not a single piece of evidence, not a single witness, on the basis of which a trial can even be conducted. Who hatched this conspiracy and why? This entire conspiracy was jointly hatched by two people, PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.”Kejriwal also challenged to hold Delhi elections, stating, “Delhi has been pushed into decline. The heaviest cost of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah’s pursuit of power has been borne by the 3 crore people of Delhi.” He added, “Today, I challenge Modi ji, if he has the courage, let him call fresh elections in Delhi. If his party secures even more than 10 seats, I will quit politics.”
