JODHPUR: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar addressed a press conference on Sunday after the three-day Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak concluded in Jodhpur. The event was held from September 5 to 7. Sunil Ambekar said the meeting laid “special focus on the field of education.” He noted that organisations, including Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Vidya Bharati, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad shared their experiences in implementing the National Education Policy. “Positive efforts are being made to promote Indian languages in education so that from primary to higher education, teaching can be encouraged in the mother tongue. Work is also progressing in the direction of rewriting textbooks and training teachers to promote the Indian knowledge tradition and the Indianisation of education,” he said. Ambekar also highlighted discussions on social issues. He expressed concern over “increasing religious conversions and the spread of drugs among youth” and mentioned awareness and de-addiction campaigns run by Seva Bharati and Vidyarthi Parishad. On illegal immigartion he said “serious concern was expressed” regarding citizen security in West Bengal, while declining violence and increasing development in the northeastern states were termed “positive.” Sunil Ambedkar outlined Sangh’s centenary year plans, with programmes focusing on environmental protection, family awareness and civic duties. The celebrations will formally begin on October 2, 2025, with the Vijayadashami Utsav in Nagpur. “The direction is positive, although some subjects still require more work. The efforts initiated in the context of the centenary year will continue uninterrupted in the coming years as well,” Ambekar said. He placed special emphasis on women’s participation, noting that Kreeda Bharati was promoting yoga knowledge and studies among women players. Referring to 887 programmes conducted under Operation Sindoor, he said, “The participation of women in organisations is continuously increasing.”The press conference was attended by Jodhpur Prant Sanghchalak Hardayal Verma, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Prachar Pramukh Narendra Thakur and Pradeep Joshi.
