TOI Dialogues Uttarakhand 2025: CM Dhami recalls PM Modi’s pledge; talks about climate challenge

.

NEW DELHI: The TOI Dialogues – Uttarakhand Edition on Tuesday saw the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. In his speech, Dhami said, “Since 2014, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has entered a historic phase of renewed pride. Work is being carried out in a systematic and organised manner. He had said that this decade of the 21st century will be Uttarakhand’s decade and our government is working in the direction.”In a visionary dialogue with actor Ashutosh Rana, the Uttarakhand chief minister spoke about the challenge of climate change. He said, “This is not just our challenge. We need to work with a broad vision. The challenges arise in places where no construction work has been done. We are working to ensure that prior information is available and the response time is short.” Actor Ashutosh Rana, who hails from Uttarakhand, said, “The damage caused by distortion is greater than that caused by natural forces. Nature is currently resetting itself. There is a need to guide Uttarakhand towards transformation through change.” At the start of the dialogue, Prasad Sanyal, Times of India Business Head, said, “A land steeped in timeless tradition yet standing today on the threshold of bold new futures. This platform was not created only to celebrate achievement; it was created to question, to reflect, and, most importantly, to reimagine. At the Times of India, we believe the conversation must not end in this room, but must move into action, vision, and lasting impact.”TOI Dialogues – Uttarakhand Chapter is a platform where ideas, culture, and innovation converge. Set in the land of Devbhoomi, it brings together thought leaders, policymakers, creators, and changemakers to reflect on Uttarakhand’s evolving identity. The conversations at TOI Dialogues explore its emergence on the cinematic map, its spiritual heritage, stories of resilience, and debates on sustainability and progress. The event aims to show how tradition and modern aspirations can coexist to shape a balanced, forward-looking future for the state. Go to Source
