Search operation launched in Rajouri after reports of suspicious movement

JAMMU: Security forces have mounted an extensive search operation in different villages of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir after reports of movement of suspicious people in the region.Official sources said troops from 49 Rashtriya Rifles, J&K Police and Special Operations Group launched the simultaneous cordon and search operations around midnight on Thursday after receiving reports of suspicious movement in some villages located between Thanamandi and Manjakote subdivisions of Jammu.On daybreak, aggressive searches were undertaken in areas including Behrote Gali, they said. The operation continued till Friday evening.On Dec 17, a combing operation was carried out in the Mansar area of Samba district after locals reported suspicious movement. Police team immediately rushed to the area and were later joined by Army and CRPF personnel.
