Russia’s Vladimir Putin to visit India for Brics summit in September

NEW DELHI: Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit India to attend the upcoming Brics summit scheduled to be held in New Delhi on September 12 and 13, according to a statement by the Russian Embassy in South Africa. Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov confirmed that Putin will participate in the summit in the national capital, marking a key diplomatic engagement amid ongoing geopolitical tensions and expanding cooperation within the Brics grouping. The Russian Embassy in South Africa, in a post on X, said: “President of Russia Vladimir Putin will attend the BRICS summit in New Delhi on September 12-13.” Further details regarding Putin’s itinerary and bilateral meetings during the visit are awaited.
