NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday apprehended two more individuals allegedly involved in last year’s Red Fort area blast, taking the total arrests in the case to 11.The latest arrests include Zameer Ahmad Ahangar from Ganderbal and Tufail Ahmad Bhat from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Both were formally taken into NIA custody for their active involvement in the conspiracy surrounding the Delhi blast, the agency said. Investigations have revealed that the duo supplied weapons to the prime accused in the attack.”The duo, identified as Zameer Ahmad Ahangar of Ganderbal (J&K) and Tufail Ahmad Bhat of Srinagar (J&K), were formally arrested by NIA for their active involvement in the conspiracy related to the Delhi blast. The duo had supplied the weapons to the prime accused in the Delhi blast case, investigations by NIA have revealed,” said the NIA in its press release.”NIA, which has been investigating the case (RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI) with the aim of unveiling the complete conspiracy behind the dastardly terror act, found Zameer Ahmad and Tufail Ahmad to be active over ground workers (OGWs) of the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH) terror outfit,” it added. The agency further revealed that the duo were involved not only in the Red Fort blast conspiracy but also in multiple other terror-related activities, including the collection of arms and ammunition for use against the country.The blast, which occurred on November 10 last year, claimed 11 lives and left several injured. The prime accused, Umer Un Nabi, was killed in the explosion.According to the NIA, the Delhi blast conspiracy was masterminded by Umer Un Nabi, with assistance from Muzammil Ganai, Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan, Adeel Ahmed Rather, and five others who provided shelter and logistical support. These nine individuals were previously arrested from various locations in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana.
