Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday emphasized that the interests of the people of India and China are closely tied to mutual cooperation, during his bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the hanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Tianjin, China. PM Modi’s visit to Tianjin comes after earlier visits to China by defence minister Rajnath Singh and external affairs minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who attended meetings of their respective SCO counterparts ahead of the summit.(Developing story)
