Pariksha Pe Charcha: PM Modi interacts with students in new episode; stresses on discipline, leadership

(ANI)

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students from across the country during a special episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, offering guidance on exams, personal growth, discipline, leadership, technology use, and nation-building ahead of the board examination season.During his interaction with students from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, PM Modi expressed happiness over their aspirations, saying, “I felt good to see that the students of Classes 10 and 12 in my country also carry the dream of Viksit Bharat 2047 in their minds. This is a matter of great happiness for me.” He emphasised the importance of disciplined habits, adding, “We should adopt the habits of developed countries—we should turn off engines at red lights, we should not leave the food, and we should reduce wastage… Discipline is very important in our life…”On the use of technology, the prime minister advised students not to let smartphones or AI dominate their lives. He said, “We should try not to make AI or mobile the master; some kids do not eat food unless they see the smartphone. We can use AI efficiently.”Highlighting the importance of physical and mental well-being, PM Modi stressed the need for proper rest. “The second biggest thing, which isn’t on people’s minds today, is sleep. One must get good sleep. After getting a full night’s sleep, your mind stays very cheerful for the rest of the time.” He also reflected on his long association with students, adding, “I have been interacting with students of Classes 10 and 12 for many years through Pariksha Pe Charcha. I engage in these conversations to learn, not to teach.”In a separate session with students from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, PM Modi shared traditional local snacks, Thethri and Khurmi. When asked to suggest five travel destinations for students, he advised them to first make a list of places near their district, city, and state, and then decide.PM Modi also encouraged students to support classmates who are weaker in studies. “Students should befriend them and explain topics to them, adding that teaching others helps one learn better as well,” he said. He stressed the importance of balancing sports with studies, reminding students of the mantra, “Khelogey to khilogey.””To become a leader, develop a mindset to take initiative… A leader does not only mean contesting elections, but a good leader should communicate ideas clearly and effectively,” said PM Modi.PM Modi also interacted with students last week, providing guidance on exams, personal growth, skills, technology use, and nation-building ahead of the board examination season. During the session, he held wide-ranging discussions with students, covering topics such as exam stress, time management, leadership, wellness, and pursuing dreams. Students also showcased their creativity by performing self-composed songs for him.The 2026 edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha aims to help students stay stress-free during exams while promoting a stronger focus on learning, in line with the National Education Policy 2020.
