New Keralam govt: CM-designate VD Satheesan announces cabinet before oath - check full list

NEW DELHI: Kerala chief minister-designate V D Satheesan on Sunday announced the names of ministers who will be part of his new cabinet and take oath alongside him during the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for Monday.Among the prominent leaders included in the cabinet are Ramesh Chennithala, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sunny Joseph and senior Congress leader K. Muraleedharan. Satheesan also announced that Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan will serve as the Speaker of the Kerala Assembly, while Shanimol Usman has been named Deputy Speaker.The Congress-led alliance’s key partner, the Indian Union Muslim League, also finalised five leaders for ministerial positions in the new Satheesan-led government.The announcement comes ahead of the formal swearing-in ceremony, where the new Kerala cabinet is expected to assume office following the alliance’s victory in the state assembly elections.
