NEW DELHI: Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that those responsible for the recent Delhi bomb blast will be given the “strictest possible punishment”. He added that the action will send a strong message to the world that no one should ever dare to attack India again.Speaking via video link at the inauguration of the Shri Motibhai R Chaudhary Sagar Sainik School and Sagar Organic Plant in Gujarat’s Mehsana district, Shah said, “All those who committed this cowardly act and those behind it will be brought before the law and punished. The Government of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs are fully committed to ensuring this.””Punishment given to the perpetrators of the Delhi terror attack will send a message to the world that no one should ever dare to even think of such an attack in our country,” he added. He also expressed condolences to the families of the 13 victims of the November 10 Red Fort blast, which left over 25 injured.“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to ensure strict punishment for all those responsible for this terrorist act will definitely be fulfilled,” he said.Shah added that India’s fight against terrorism under PM Modi’s leadership has earned global recognition over the past 11 years.Shah’s remarks came two days after he chaired two high-level meetings in Delhi to review the investigation into the car explosion. During the review, he directed officials to “hunt down each and every culprit” involved in the incident.”Chaired review meetings on the Delhi car blast with the senior officials. Instructed them to hunt down each and every culprit behind this incident. Everyone involved in this act will face the full wrath of our agencies,” Amit Shah posted on X.Earlier, Shah’s scheduled visit to Gujarat was cancelled, with BJP leaders citing his engagement with developments related to the Delhi blast. He was originally scheduled to inaugurate the Ahmedabad Food Festival and the International Book Festival 2025 at the Sabarmati Riverfront Event Centre and attend events in Mehsana. The home minister joined the Mehsana programme virtually, where he also lauded Motibhai Chaudhary’s contribution to Gujarat’s cooperative movement and said the newly inaugurated Sagar Sainik School will inspire youth to serve in the armed forces.A high-intensity explosion in a car near the Red Fort on Monday evening killed 13 people and injured more than 25. Several central and state agencies are currently investigating the case which has raised national security concerns.
