In 2026, the candidates include Rajeev Tirkey of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Manoj Kumar Oraon of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Sudham Lama of the Congress.In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Kumargram (ST) was won by Manoj Oraon of the BJP, who defeated his nearest rival from the TMC by a margin of 19,636 votes.
