NEW DELHI: Two Indian business schools — Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) of OP Jindal Global University and Goa Institute of Management (GIM) — have received the AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation, joining the top six percent of business schools worldwide. The AACSB accreditation evaluates institutions on parameters such as quality of teaching, research, societal contribution, and student learning outcomes through a multi-year peer-reviewed process. Only a small group of business schools in India have achieved this recognition, which aligns their standards with those of globally benchmarked management institutions.Professor C Raj Kumar, founding vice chancellor of OP Jindal Global University, said that it “sends a clear message that Indian universities can match international benchmarks.” At GIM, director professor Ajit Parulekar said the accreditation reflects the institute’s focus on “academic quality, research, and close engagement with the business community.”Established in 1916, AACSB International represents over 2,000 institutional members in more than 100 countries. With the inclusion of JGBS and GIM, India’s management education landscape now features a growing number of institutions aligning with international standards in governance, curriculum, and outcomes.
