NEW DELHI: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday targeted ex-ally Janata Dal (United) claiming that the party was not under its chief Nitish Kumar anymore. He said that JD(U) was being run by leaders who had been “bought by the Bharatiya Janata Party”.He claimed that Lalan Singh, Sanjay Jha and Vijay Choudhary were running the JD(U), expressing they had “destroyed Nitish Kumar”. “Now, Nitish Kumar is running JDU. JDU is being run by Lalan Singh, Sanjay Jha and Vijay Choudhary. JDU does not remain with Nitish Kumar. These three leaders have been sold to the BJP, and they have destroyed Nitish Kumar,” he said after he filing nomination from Raghopur seat Earlier in the day, JD(U) announced its first list of 57 candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections, as stated in an official party release. According to the statement, the list of nominees for the first phase of the 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections was approved by the party’s National President, Nitish Kumar. Among those nominated are JDU state president Umesh Khushwaha from Mahanar, Bihar’s rural development minister Shravan Kumar from Nalanda, and Sunil Kumar from Bhore (SC), along with several other candidates.
