The move will allow homoeopaths to prescribe modern medicines after a one-year certificate course

NEW DELHI: Indian Medical Association (IMA) has threatened a nationwide strike if the Maharashtra government does not withdraw its decision to allow homoeopaths to register with the Maharashtra Medical Council after a one-year certificate course, which will allow them to prescribe modern medicines.Maharashtra is the first state to allow registration of BHMS graduates, who have completed Certificate Course in Modern Pharmacology (CCMP), with the state medical council.
