BOKARO: In a shocking incident, two men allegedly poured hot oil over a woman when she resisted their attempt to molest her at Ledha village in Jharkhand’s Giridih district Sunday. The woman suffered severe injuries and has been admitted to sadar hospitals.”One accused, Uday Choudhary, has been arrested, and efforts are on to arrest the other, Manish Choudhary,” said officer in-charge of Mufassil police station Shyam Kishore Mahto. An FIR has been lodged, he added.In her statement, the woman alleged that she was frying snacks at her shop when the men from a village turned up and started harassing her. When she resisted, they poured boiling oil on her and fled. Locals rushed her to the hospital. “The men have a history of misconduct and strict action must be taken against them,” said former village mukhiya Rajesh Verma.
