French Navy rubbishes Pakistan's Rafale claim

NEW DELHI: French navy has rubbished the claim in Pakistani media that one of its officers acknowledged the superiority of the Pakistani air force in Operation Sindo-or as “extensive misinformation and disinformation”.BJP cited the official reaction from the French navy on X to hit out at Pakistan. “When official institutions start debunking their propaganda, you know how desperate Pakistan’s misinformation machinery has become,” BJP IT departm-ent head Amit Malviya said.A leading Pakistani journalist had quoted a French navy official to report about Pakistan’s superiority in air during the conflict with India.However, the French navy denounced the report. It said, “These statements were attributed to Captain Launay who never gave his consent for any form of publication. The article conta-ins extensive misinformation and disinformation.”Malviya then hit out at Pakistani news channel Geo TV and its correspondent Hamid Mir.The BJP IT department head said, “In his report, Hamid Mir peddled the same old, fabricated claims about Rafales and the so-called May conflict and has now been publicly exposed. When official institutions start debunking their propaganda, you know how desperate Pakistan’s misinformation machinery has become.”
