The Election Commission on Monday announced the schedule for the Bihar assembly elections. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said voting will take place in two phases — on November 6 and 11 — while counting of votes will be held on November 14. The elections are likely to be straight contest between the ruling National Democratic Alliance and the opposition Mahagathbandhan.The 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded to Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell, and Shimon Sakaguchi for their ground-breaking “discoveries concerning peripheral immune tolerance that prevents the immune system from harming the body.” Bihar elections 2025: Polling to be held in two phases from Nov 6; counting of votes on Nov 14While declaring the dates, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar said the polling process “will be a smooth and comfortable experience” for the electors. The Bihar elections will be the first after the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, which deleted 68.5 lakh voters and added 21.5 lakh new names.
