DNPA Conclave 2026 to chart the future of digital news in the AI era

DNPA (Digital News Publishers Association) Conclave 2026, set to take place on February 26 in New Delhi, will bring together policymakers, media leaders and industry experts for a dialogue on the rapidly evolving landscape of news, governance and digital innovation. As a key industry platform, the conclave will feature curated panel discussions and expert-led sessions that examine emerging trends, address shared challenges and chart a forward-looking roadmap for India’s digital media ecosystem.Mariam Mammen Mathew, Chairperson, Digital News Publishers Association, said, “At a time when AI is reshaping the very foundations of news, it is critical for publishers, policymakers and platforms to come together and build a framework rooted in trust and responsibility.Puneet Gupt, Vice-Chairperson, added, “The future of digital journalism will depend on how effectively we align innovation with sustainability, fair value exchange and public interest.”Sujata Gupta, Secretary General & CEO, DNPA, said, “The DNPA Conclave 2026 is a defining moment for India’s digital news industry. As AI reshapes content creation and consumption, it is vital that publishers help shape policies that safeguard journalistic integrity, ensure fair compensation, and sustain credible news.” Through a series of curated discussions and expert-led interactions, the conclave will examine the evolving regulatory environment governing digital communications and how policy frameworks can balance innovation with consumer protection and industry growth in an AI-driven era.Sessions will also focus on the transformation of Indian media through technology, exploring how artificial intelligence is redefining newsroom workflows, content creation, distribution strategies and audience engagement across platforms. The conclave will also assess where audiences are increasingly turning for credible information, how trust is being built and sustained, and what constitutes the new public square in a fragmented and platform-led media landscape. The impact of regulatory changes on different stakeholders will also be explored, evaluating who stands to gain, who bears the costs and how the ecosystem can remain competitive and inclusive. DNPA Conclave 2026 will also spotlight critical conversations around content monetisation, revenue models, regulatory frameworks, and the evolving balance of risk and reward in the digital news ecosystem. In addition, discussions will examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping the economics of content, from cost efficiencies and monetisation opportunities to questions of intellectual property and long-term business viability.By bringing together policymakers and industry experts, DNPA Conclave 2026 aims to shape a balanced, innovation-led and trust-driven roadmap for the future of digital journalism in an increasingly AI-powered world. To attend DNPA Conclave 2026, register here https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/toi/dnpa-conclave-2026
