Delhi blast: PM Modi meets victims at LNJP Hospital; to hold key security meet soon

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, upon his return from neighbouring Bhutan on Wednesday, visited the victims of the Delhi car blast that took place near the Red Fort on Monday evening. Later in the day, PM Modi is scheduled to hold a key meeting in connection with the blast incident.PM Modi shared on X after meeting the blast survivors: “Visited LNJP Hospital and met those injured in the Delhi blast. Praying for their speedy recovery. The conspirators behind this attack will be brought to justice!” PM Modi, who concluded his two-day state visit to Bhutan earlier in the day, arrived directly at LNJP Hospital in central Delhi minutes after landing in the national capital.During his visit, the Prime Minister issued a stern warning to those behind the attack, vowing that the perpetrators “won’t be spared” and “will be brought to justice.””Today, I come here with a very heavy heart. The horrific incident that took place in Delhi yesterday evening has deeply saddened everyone. I understand the grief of the affected families. The entire nation stands with them today,” he said.The Prime Minister added that he had been closely monitoring the investigation since the incident. “I was in touch with all the agencies investigating this incident throughout last night. Our agencies will get to the bottom of this conspiracy. The conspirators behind this will not be spared. All those responsible will be brought to justice,” he said.Meanwhile, Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday chaired two key meetings to review progress in the investigation and expedite efforts to bring the culprits to justice.Shah directed officials to “hunt down each and every culprit” behind the blast near Red Fort. “Chaired review meetings on the Delhi car blast with the senior officials. Instructed them to hunt down each and every culprit behind this incident. Everyone involved in this act will face the full wrath of our agencies,” Amit Shah posted on X.At least 12 people were killed and several others injured in the high-intensity explosion that ripped through a car near the Red Fort on Monday evening.
