Cops seek names of ED raid officers

With both the ED and Bengal government expected to head to Supreme Court on Monday on the I-PAC issue, ED officers present during the Jan 8 searches at I-PAC’s Salt Lake office and the political consultancy firm’s director’s Loudon Street home are likely to fall within the ambit of the probe. An agency report stated that the Union home ministry has sought a detailed report from ED on the sequence of events that unfolded on Jan 8. Kolkata Police on Sunday indicated it was writing to ED seeking the names of officers who took part in Thursday’s searches. Police are also attempting to identify the CRPF personnel who accompanied the ED team.
