BJP flying 30 choppers to counter '37-year-old': Tejashwi Yadav

PATNA: RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, who is opposition alliance’s CM face in Bihar polls, said on Friday BJP is “scared of a 37-year-old youth” and has deployed 30 helicopters to counter him.The star campaigner of Mahagathbandhan, who addressed 18 election rallies during the day, described himself “unstoppable” and declared that neither PM Modi nor any NDA minister could stop him from forming the next govt.”Modi ji has fielded scores of party functionaries for the campaign, hiring 30 helicopters,” he said at a rally at Belhar in Banka district, adding, “A Bihari is proving to be stronger than all.”Yadav, who has already served as deputy CM twice, also sought to play the “son-of-the-soil” card. “Bihar cannot be run by outsiders. Only the son of the soil will govern here,” he said, urging the youth to give him a chance to free the state from unemployment and migration. “You gave 20 years to NDA. Give me just 20 months to set things right,” he said.At another rally in Araria, Tejashwi alleged that voting in RJD-dominated areas was being “deliberately slowed down” through the use of defective EVMs. “The local administration is deliberately slowing down voting. So, you have to stay alert,” he said.He interacted with women and panchayat representatives from 40 seats.
