Bihar polls: AAP’s Sanjay Singh slams BJP–JDU, says people of Bihar must ‘beware of dishonest parties’

PATNA: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Thursday launched a strong attack on the BJP–JDU government during his visit to Patna, saying the people of Bihar must “beware of the lies of dishonest parties”.Singh alleged that the ruling BJP-JDU led government has betrayed every section of society from the poor to the youth.“For 20 years, they have made promises but delivered nothing. Even the sacred festival of Chhath has exposed their lies– they built a fake riverfront in Delhi mocking the faith of people from UP and Bihar. Those who act even on a holy festival will now face people’s questions,” he said.Criticizing BJP’s portrayal of Biharis as migrants, Singh said, “The same party has ruled Bihar for 20 years– if the state still lags behind and youth remain unemployed, who is responsible?” He also accused the BJP of hypocrisy, saying that in Delhi, the party demolished homes and shops belonging to people from UP and Bihar, and is now seeking their votes in Bihar.He further took a swipe at chief minister Nitish Kumar, recalling an incident where the CM placed a flower pot on a woman worker’s head during an event. “A leader who can’t even recognise his own workers — how will he understand the people of Bihar?” Singh said.Highlighting AAP’s work in Delhi, Singh said the Kejriwal government has served people from UP, Bihar and Purvanchal with honesty and results and has come to Bihar with the same spirit, to deliver results and not just make hollow promises.
