Union cooperation minister Amit Shah said ‘Bharat Taxi’ will roll out soon to generate new job opportunities and ensure cabbies get the entire proceeds of their hard work. “Several companies operate taxi services in the country, but the profits go to the owners rather than the drivers. Under the initiative of the ministry of cooperation, ‘Bharat’ Taxi’ will be launched soon, and the entire profit will go to our driver brothers,” Shah said at a conference organised by Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited in Panchkula. “‘Bharat’ Taxi drivers will receive insurance facilities, and ads will be permitted on their taxis. Ultimately, all profits will go to them. This will enhance customer convenience,” Shah added.
