Airbus has issued an urgent global directive for A320-family operators to fix a software issue that could affect flight-control systems on thousands of aircraft, after a JetBlue A320 unexpectedly pitched downward on October 30. The problem, linked to intense solar radiation corrupting critical flight-control data, has prompted India to ground over 350 A320s for 2–3 days.Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) recovered Rs 18 lakh in cash from Dr Shaheen Shahid’s hostel room at Al-Falah University on Thursday night, raising suspicions that the money could have been intended to fund a ‘white-coat terror module’ operating on campus. Ravichandran Ashwin has suggested that Jasprit Bumrah should be used sparingly in Test cricket and primarily preserved for white-ball formats. Speaking to AB de Villiers on YouTube, Ashwin said Bumrah should focus on T20s and only play high-value Tests, particularly away matches, while avoiding less meaningful ODIs. He added that, despite the advice, Bumrah’s love for Test cricket means he may continue to play across formats. Here are the top 5 news stories: Intense solar radiation risk?
