Zubeen Garg's event manager drops FIRST statement after his untimely demise in a scuba diving accident in Singapore: 'He was scheduled...'

Singer Zubeen Garg known for singing songs like ‘Ya Ali’ from Gangster amidst many more passed away on Friday in a tragic accident. He was in Singapore and had an untimely demise due to a scuba diving mishap. What was meant to be a fun outing, unfortunately ended up being his final dive. While he was rescued and rushed to the hospital, the doctors were unable to revive him. Amidst this heartbreaking news, his event manager has dropped the first official statement after the incident. The statement read, “With profound grief, we share the heartbreaking news that our beloved icon, Zubeen Garg, passed away today at Singapore General Hospital around 2:30 PM. Zubeen had arrived in Singapore just the day before yesterday. He was scheduled to be with us at the festival tomorrow, meeting and interacting with people. Earlier today, our entire team was engaged in a business meeting with senior Singaporean industrialists and policymakers at the Shangri-La Hotel to facilitate investments in Northeast India.”Shedding light on how the team learned of the incident, the manager explained, “During the meeting, we received a call from Zubeen’s manager informing us that he had met with an accident and had been rushed to Singapore General Hospital. We later learned that a few members of the local Assamese community had taken him on a yacht visit, of which we had no prior knowledge.”The team immediately rushed to the hospital and is now working closely with the Indian High Commission to complete the necessary formalities. Calling it an irreplaceable loss, the manager said no words could capture the depth of this grief.Zubeen Garg’s sudden passing has sent shockwaves across the nation. Many celebs have mourned his demise. In a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi expressed his grief and shock. He wrote, “Shocked by the sudden demise of popular singer Zubeen Garg. He will be remembered for his rich contribution to music. His renditions were very popular among people across all walks of life. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”
