Yash’s ‘Toxic’ drops bold ‘Ladies & Ladies’ teaser

Yash's 'Toxic' 'Ladies & Ladies' teaser showcases fierce avatars of Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth

Yash starrer ‘Toxic’ remains one of the most anticipated films, as it is said to be a gangster action drama with a heavy, star-studded female cast. After the makers introduced the ladies via posters, they finally shared the teaser named ‘Ladies & Ladies,’ focusing on the women from the world of the Geethu Mohandas directorial. Let’s take a look.

‘Toxic’ teaser focuses on female characters

The 1-minute 41-second teaser opens with a playful disclaimer and shows Yash and Kiara Advani’s characters sharing an intimate scene at the beach, as shown in the song ‘Tabaahi’. A narration can be heard that defines love. It says, “Love makes monsters of women. It is a beautiful illusion if one understands the depth of its deception.”The makers further show Nayanthara’s character riding a bike, whereas Kiara Advani can be seen as a performer at a circus. Meanwhile, Tara Sutaria is shown as a bosslady at the bar, standing confidently. The video also shows Rukmini Vasanth with a fierce attitude holding a gun and Huma Qureshi in a charming yet deceptive body language, who seems to be another key figure of the ‘Toxic’ saga and holds power.Lastly, the makers show a combat between Yash’s character and some female fighters. He says, “Ladies and ladies. Do you want to come one at a time or all together.” The makers have been bold with their visual and action choices. The themes, specifically the fonts of the names and production throughout the teaser, are in pink colour. They have also released it in multiple languages.

Female cast of ‘Toxic’

Nayanthara plays the role of Ganga, Kiara Advani as Nadia, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, Rukmini Vasanth as Melissa and Tara Sutaria as Rebecca, who play important roles, where the ‘KGF’ star will be seen in a dual role, seemingly of a father and son. In addition to the star-studded cast members, the film also includes Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, Amit Tiwari and several other actors in important roles.

The makers want to cater to a global audience as they have filmed the entire film in English and Kannada simultaneously. They have also roped in International action choreographer JJ Perry, who has worked on some of the action sequences, while the Anbariv duo has handled selected action portions.The music is composed by ‘KGF’ and ‘Salaar’ fame Ravi Basrur.The movie was earlier announced to hit the big screens on March 19, however, the makers announced it would be delayed due to tensions in the Middle East. Later, they shared June 4 as the release date, but it was again pushed ahead after receiving a positive response during its presentation at CinemaCon .The team later announced that the film will hit the big screens on August 26, 2026.The film will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
