TRIGGER WARNING: This article includes references to domestic violence.Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen’s ongoing case for the past few months has caused quite a stir in the entertainment world. Following the controversy, a lot of Paul’s appearances were cancelled. Not only that, but ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ also halted filming and production as most of the cast members had refused to work with the TV star. Now, as per the latest reports, another of Paul’s shows, which was scrapped because of the controversy and investigation, may be on the verge of being brought back. Here is what we know so far about the matter.

Taylor Frankie Paul’s ‘The Bachelorette’ may be brought back

In March, Paul’s ‘The Bachelorette’ was set to air. However, amid the controversy surrounding the active domestic abuse investigations, among other things, it was scrapped only three days before the official date. Now, months later, as Paul is currently involved in the custody battle over her and Mortensen’s 2-year-old son, Ever, the possibility of the show’s return is being discussed. As per Deadline reports, reality TV chief Rob Mills, who works at the production studio behind ‘The Bachelorette’, opened up about the matter at the Reality TV Summit. He stated, “It’s still day-to-day, so we’ll see. On a personal level … we want to make sure she’s OK.” He was also asked about whether the already shot footage will ever air or not. While he did not give a clear answer at the time, he simply replied to the question by saying that it is “a good question.”

‘The Bachelorette’ is getting cancelled in March

In March, as per a statement made by ABC, the reality TV show, which starred Paul, was pulled from the air only days before its official debut. The statement, which was released at the time, read, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”The “newly released video” specifically referred to a video of the ‘Mormon Wives’ album and Dakota Mortensen, which had gone viral online. In the video, Taylor was seen kicking, screaming, and punching Mortensen as the two of them argued. The incident occurred while her daughter was present at the scene. Both Mortensen and Paul had been under investigation for three separate incidents of domestic abuse. Both of them had alleged that the other person was violent and had been abusive. As of right now, the two are busy with the custody hearings for their son. On April 30, the first hearing was held, and the judge granted both of them a mutual protective order for the next 3 years. The next hearing in the case is set for June 1.DISCLAIMER: If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, assault, or abuse, please seek immediate help.
