Get ready for ‘Wicked: For Good,’ the highly anticipated sequel hitting theaters November 21, 2025. Reports suggest the magical fantasy will land on Jio Hotstar in India early 2026, approximately four to five months post-theatrical release. Directed by Jon M. ‘Wicked: For Good’ is the sequel to the massive hit musical fantasy film ‘Wicked’. The movie is set to hit theaters on November 21, 2025. Amidst the buzz around the movie, reports of its streaming platform partner have surfaced on the internet. ‘Wicked: For Good’ OTT release

According to the reports, the film will be out on Jio Hotstar in India. The makers have not announced the premiere date of the same as of now. However, reportedly, the film will stream on the platform in early 2026. As per the reports, the sequel might arrive on the streaming giant approximately four to five months after its theatrical run.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, ‘Wicked: For Good’ is loosely based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 book ‘Land of Oz’. The story of the film takes place in a world where the events of ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ occur both before and after those of L. Frank Baum’s original story. In the film, it has already been established that Ariana Grande’s Glinda the Good has become a popular public figure under the watch of the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) and Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh).However, on the other hand, Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba continues her fight for animal rights as a fugitive years after the first installment ends. The movie is reportedly 2 hours and 18 minutes (138 minutes). The movie marked its debut in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 4, 2025.

Cast of the film

Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, and Marissa Bode will be back in their respective roles in the movie. A new cast member, Colman Domingo, has been announced to join the film.
