This childhood crush was not like others, though; the love for him was so deep in my heart that my boarding school hostel room was filled with his posters, which I didn’t let anyone touch. My heart was broken when I saw him getting married. But today, when I came face to face with him, the feeling was something else. This shoot will always remain as the happiest day of my life.”

Shakti Mohan’s recent statement on life without a relationship

Despite her past experience of being cheated on, Shakti holds no bitterness. In a candid interview with Siddharth Kannan, she made it clear that her happiness is not dependent on being in a relationship.”I do not sense any lack, even though I am not in a relationship. The prevalent notion that happiness relies on having a partner is not something I believe in. I am living a fulfilling life alone, so there shouldn’t be a problem,” she said. She also addressed the topic of motherhood with equal honesty. She siad, “I’m a great aunt and the top person in my nephew’s life, yet I still lack maternal instinct.
