When Salman said he’s learnt to be secure from Salim Khan

When Salman Khan said he learnt to be secure from father Salim Khan: 'You don't need to cut someone's role'

Screenwriters Salim-Javed (Salim Khan-Javed Akhtar) are considered legendary. They broke stereotypes around writers, even when it came to what they were paid. Not to mention, their success rate with back-to-back hits like ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Trishul’ and a long list of movies proved their mettle as writers. They saw immense success and fame. It’s obvious that their children must have learnt a lot seeing their fathers in the industry for so many years. A while ago, after the release of ‘Tiger 3’, during a chat with ETimes, when Salman was asked how he has remained so secure as an actor over the years, he had credited his father for it. He said, “I’ve seen it at home. I don’t think anyone can take anything away from you that you deserve. I don’t think you can snatch something from someone that they deserve. You just have to give your best and you can shine but you don’t need to out-shadow someone or cut someone’s role in a movie or show someone down. When you do these things, the audience sees that. I don’t see a motive to do that.”He further spoke about his father and revealed that success or failure didn’t really change him. He added, “Before I even became an actor, I’ve seen failure, success, failure, success with my father’s career. When my father was successful as a writer, I didn’t see him going nuts or ballistic. When he went down as well, I saw the same father standing there. I didn’t see any change in my father’s personality. That’s what all of us, brothers and sisters got it from him. If a film like ‘Tiger 3’ is successful, we may not celebrate it. But perhaps if a film fails, we will not cry either. Because we’ve given our best.”On work front, Salman is currently busy with ‘Battle Of Galwan’ and the latest season of ‘Bigg Boss’.
