'I’ve always had a huge crush...': When Priyanka Chopra was vocal about her admiration for Shah Rukh Khan

Priyanka Chopra has always admired Shah Rukh Khan, calling him her ‘favouritest’. Their playful banter during ‘Don’ promotions and rumors of romance during ‘Don 2’ are recalled. Chopra’s recent calm response to an old remark by Khan about staying in India highlights her ambition. She stated comfort is boring, emphasizing her self-assurance and openness to new challenges.

Priyanka Chopra has never shied away from expressing her admiration for Shah Rukh Khan. Over the years, she has openly spoken about finding him charming and inspiring, calling him one of her all-time favourites.

‘He’s my favouritest’: Priyanka on SRK’s appeal

In an old conversation with Cine Blitz, she said, “What’s sexy about Shah Rukh? Everything! He’s my favouritest! In the song Suraj Hua Maddham, dressed in those loose kurtas… mmm, he looks absolutely sexy. His eyes are the sexiest… they can look right through you. I’ve always had a huge crush on Shah Rukh Khan. Not the ‘I-love-you-want-to-marry-you’ kind — it’s more like idolisation. I just love everything about the man. He can’t go wrong anywhere.”

Their playful banter during Don promotions

In an old interview with Times of India, Shah Rukh reacted to Priyanka being called ‘junglee billi’ in Don. “She’s my tame rat.” Priyanka shot back immediately, “I’m not a rat, and I’m certainly not tamed. Please find a better-looking animal to compare me to.” Shah Rukh, always the gentleman in his teasing, quickly adjusted: “Ok, she’s my tame rabbit. Look, I am extremely, extremely, extremely fond of her and I have a huge amount of genuine love and respect for her talent,” he shared. The two were rumoured to be romantically involved during the filming of Don 2, though neither ever confirmed nor denied the speculation.

Priyanka’s calm response to SRK’s old remark

Meanwhile, wile promoting her spy-thriller series Citadel, Priyanka was asked about Shah Rukh’s past remark: “Why should I go there (Hollywood)? I am comfortable here.” Though she didn’t name him directly, her response was calm yet cutting. She said that “comfortable is boring” to her, adding that she’s not arrogant but self-assured. Priyanka emphasized that she’s open to auditions, doesn’t seek executive validation, and doesn’t carry the weight of her success in one country when stepping into another.
