When Kareena said she was a fan of Saif’s ex-wife Amrita

When Kareena Kapoor Khan said she was a fan of Saif Ali Khan's ex-wife Amrita Singh: 'I haven't met her'

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan tied the knot in 2012. The duo fell in love on the sets of ‘Tashan’ and dating for a bit before they decided to take the plunge. Since then, Saif and Kareena serve couple goals. They have two children, Taimur and Jeh. But when Kareena married Saif, he already had two children. Saif was married earlier to Amrita Singh. They were married for 13 years and had two children – Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim. Both of them attended Saif’s wedding with Kareena. Over the years, Sara and Ibrahim have also shared a great bonding with Kareena. In an old interview, Kareena had opened up on Saif’s ex-wife and his children. She had said in an old interview with People magazine that she has always encouraged Saif to be friends with his ex-wife Amrita. She had said, “I would want her to have that kind of respect always. This is what my parents have taught me. At the end of the day, it was just a marriage that didn’t work out. I have always encouraged Saif to be friends with her because I think that would be great. I guess they will just need time but that’s something that they would need to deal with. I will always respect her. As far as any other relationship of Saif is concerned, I don’t think they really mattered.” Meanwhile, Amrita also has shown that kind of respect. She dressed up Sara to attend her father’s wedding and has never told anything negative to her children about their father. Saif had appreciated and pointed that about her during a chat with Karan Johar on ‘Koffee With Karan’. Meanwhile, Amrita had said in an old interview, “Let me tell you, I was the one who put together the entire wardrobe for my daughter that evening. I also dressed up both my kids, Sara and Ibrahim, for Saif’s wedding with Kareena.”
