'The Mandalorian and Grogu' Trailer: Pedro Pascal returns as Din Djarin with Grogu in new film adventure

The first trailer of ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ is here, and it has fans buckling up and ready for their next ‘Star Wars’ adventure. The first trailer dropped online on Monday, offering fans a first look at the big-screen adventure of the galaxy’s favourite bounty hunter and his adorable tiny apprentice. The film, which is a spinoff of the hit Disney+ series, ‘The Mandalorian’ brings back Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, who sets out on another action-packed adventure with the beloved Grogu, aka Baby Yoda.

Official synopsis

According to the official synopsis, “The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.”

Cast and characters

The trailer not only gives fans a glimpse of all the adventure that awaits their favourite duo, but also gives fans glimpses of the new members joining this saga. From Sigourney Weaver as a Rebel Alliance colonel, to Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt, son of crime lord Jabba the Hutt and Jonny Coyne as an Imperial warlord, fans have plenty to look forward to when the film hits the big screens next year. Unlike previous darker tones of the other Star Wars instalments, this one teases a lighter, family-friendly story with Grogu providing plenty of laughs along the way.

About the film

‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ marks the first film in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise since 2019’s ‘The Rise of Skywalker’. The film has been directed by ‘The Mandalorian’ creator Jon Favreau, who also co-wrote the script with longtime collaborator Dave Filoni. Lucasfilm is also developing another feature, ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’, directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Amy Adams, and more.
