'Stranger Things' Recap: Ahead of Season 5 Volume 1 debut, here's all you need to know from Season 4

With ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5, Volume 1 set to debut on Netflix today and as the clock tics down to the big release, the makers gave fans an official rewind on all the action that unfolded in the past seasons, before they watch the latest episodes.

Season 4 premiered more than three years ago, in 2022, leaving many fans in need of a rewind before heading back into Hawkins and into the Upside Down.Netflix’s newly released recap revisits the major events of Season 4, setting the stage for the show’s climactic endgame.

The official logline for Season 5 reads: ‘The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished – his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming – and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone – the full party – standing together, one last time.’

Season 5 to release in 3 volumes

The highly anticipated Season 5 will Season five contains eight episodes in total.
