'Gatta Kusthi 2' teaser out now; Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi return for fun-filled sequel

The teaser of ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ has finally arrived and is already creating excitement among fans. The sequel brings back the popular pair of Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi after the success of the first film. Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the movie looks set to continue the lead couple’s fun-filled journey. Packed with comedy, emotions, and sports drama, the teaser has given audiences a glimpse of what to expect when the film hits theatres on July 3.

‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ teaser reveals a new chapter in the couple’s life

The first film revolved around a husband who unknowingly marries a talented wrestler and later becomes her biggest supporter. The sequel appears to pick up from where that story ended. The teaser reveals that the couple has now entered a new phase of life after becoming parents. Even though they have greater responsibilities in their family life, the husband keeps encouraging his wife to realize her aspirations. Several comical incidents have been brought to notice by means of the promotional video.

Vishnu Vishal steps into the ring in an exciting twist

The most surprising element in this teaser is revealed at its end. As the character portrayed by Aishwarya Lekshmi continues her wrestling career, Vishnu Vishal’s character can be seen making his debut in the wrestling arena. These elements have left audiences speculating about the obstacles that lie ahead for the duo. Given the elements of fun, family, and sports included, ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ seems poised to entertain theatre-going audiences yet again.

‘Gatta Kusthi’ success sets the stage for the sequel

Released in 2022, ‘Gatta Kusthi’ was a hit among families and movie buffs alike. The film had several leading actors like Vishnu Vishal, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Karunas and Munishkanth. With music by Justin Prabhakaran, the movie turned out to be a commercial success, earning more than Rs 30 crore at the box office. Following the strong reception, the makers decided to continue the story with a second installment. This time, music is composed by Sean Roldan, adding a fresh flavour to the franchise.
