Virat-Anushka’s wedding was hit by heavy rain

'Didn’t sleep all night': Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding was hit by heavy rain, reveals The Wedding Filmer

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding broke the internet back in 2017. The couple tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony in Italy on 11 December 2017, and to this day, it remains one of the most talked-about celebrity weddings. Fans loved the small, intimate celebrations full of love and happiness. But the special day almost ran into trouble when heavy rain hit the venue just before the wedding, and the planners had to make quick, last-minute changes.

Wedding filmer reveals last-minute venue shift

Vishal Punjabi, also known as ‘The Wedding Filmer,’ who captured Virushka’s wedding, shared his experience on Adhunika Singh’s YouTube channel. He said, “Virat and Anushka’s wedding was rained out. They shifted the location at the last minute. Devika Narain (wedding planner) didn’t sleep all night. She spent the whole night shifting the mandap.”

Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli completely trusted wedding planners’ choices

Vishal Punjabi revealed that Virat and Anushka hadn’t seen his work before and only trusted the wedding planner’s taste. He said, “It was all kept under wraps. But you kind of figure out that it may be them, but you only know when you get there. We got there, and we were very pleasantly surprised. It’s not like they knew of me, or knew of my work. They were just inherently very nice, sweet people.”He added that the couple welcomed him warmly, giving him full freedom to do his job. “I met them, and they smiled and said, ‘Please do what you do. We don’t know what you do, but we believe that if you’re here, you’ve done it right.’ They trusted their planners, who trusted us. It was a very small wedding, and it felt like everyone was together. They were really nice to me, they were really kind to me.”
