Vijay’s final film ‘Jana Nayagan’ likely to hit theatres this month

'Jana Nayagan' clears censor: Vijay's final film likely to hit theatres this month - Reports

The wait for Vijay’s last film ‘Jana Nayagan’ might be coming to an end. The much-anticipated film has been making headlines for the past few months over the delay in its censor certification. Fans had been hoping for an earlier release this year, but legal and certification issues delayed it. Now, fresh updates have rekindled hopes that the film might finally hit theatres soon, and it is among the most anticipated Tamil films of the year.

Vijay’s film clears a major hurdle

As reported by News18, ‘Jana Nayagan’ reportedly received an ‘A’ certificate, thus solving the biggest problem holding back its release. Earlier, the film’s certification process ran into complications after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) sought a re-examination instead of granting clearance. The production house challenged the decision in court before later withdrawing the case and opting for the review process. With the reported censor clearance now in place, industry circles believe the makers are preparing to announce the theatrical release soon.

‘Jana Nayagan’ release buzz gains momentum

With the new update, Vijay’s fans have been more enthused about waiting for the release date to be announced. Since the film was delayed for several months, speculation about its arrival has continued across social media. If the remaining formalities are completed without further hurdles, ‘Jana Nayagan’ is expected to hit theatres later this month. However, the makers have yet to make an official announcement regarding the exact release date.

About ‘Jana Nayagan’

‘Jana Nayagan’ is a landmark project in Vijay’s career and also his last film, as he plunged into full-fledged politics. Directed by H Vinoth, the film stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead.
