Sivakarthikeyan’s car meets with minor accident; Actor escapes unhurt - Watch video

Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan was involved in a minor road accident in Chennai on Sunday, emerging unharmed. Meanwhile, his upcoming film ‘Parasakthi’, a significant Kollywood release, has had its release date moved up to January 10, 2026, setting it for a box office clash with Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan was involved in a minor road accident in Chennai on Sunday. Reportedly, the incident took place near Madhya Kailash when the car carrying the actor met with a small mishap.According to India Today reports, thankfully, Sivakarthikeyan escaped without any injuries. Soon after the accident, visuals from the spot surfaced online.

Visuals show actor safe

In the visuals shared on social media, Sivakarthikeyan can be seen standing outside the car wearing a black T-shirt. Sivakarthikeyan appeared calm and safe. In the video he is seen with no visible injuries. The car suffered minor damage. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela in key roles and is directed by Sudha Kongara.’Parasakthi’ marks Sivakarthikeyan’s 25th film.

Release date and box office clash

‘Parasakthi’ was earlier scheduled to release on January 14, 2026, on the occasion of Pongal. However, Sacnilk reports suggest that the makers have now preponed the release to January 10, 2026, which falls on a Saturday.This move has set up a major box office clash, as the film will now release just a day after Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, which is scheduled for January 9. The film is reportedly based on the anti-Hindi agitations that took place in Tamil Nadu in 1965.

Nora Fatehi injured in separate accident

In another incident, Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi sustained a minor injury in a car accident on Link Road in suburban Amboli on Friday afternoon. As reported by PTI, she was on her way to the Sunburn music festival when the accident happened.After a medical check-up, Nora Fatehi went ahead and attended the event as planned.
